Resources available for residents impacted by fires and floods

State opens disaster resource center and support hotline

SANTA FE – The state of New Mexico is working across state agencies to provide resources to those impacted by the fire and weather impacts across the state.

A state Disaster Resource Center is now open at the Daniel Fernandez Recreation Center, 1103 Hwy 314, Los Lunas, NM 87031. The center will remain open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice. Valencia county residents impacted by the Desert Willow Complex fires can replace documents, get help with SNAP and Medicaid benefits, get help with insurance questions and claims, disaster case management, and receive peer support.

State Disaster Case Managers are also available at the Grant County Business & Conference Center, 3031 US-180, Silver City, NM 88061. They will be there in person from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice to connect residents to resources. Peer support workers will also be available.

For those who cannot go to one of these locations, the State Disaster Helpline at 1-833-663-4736 is available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Information about resources can also be found at dhsem.nm.gov/2025wildfires.
